Corporate Partners

“Act as if what you do makes a difference.  It does.”  ~William James

Since our inception in 2008, countless companies have contributed thousands of dollars, products and volunteer hours to our organization and the people we serve. You can see a larger list of some of those companies (and individuals and organizations) on the thank you page of our website. This page is intended to recognize those companies that are current, active participants in the work that we do. Some of these companies contribute products, others donate financially, and others through a combination of product/financial donations and volunteer service. We do our best to keep this list up-to-date, but if you represent a company that should be on this list, please contact us at any time!

How to Help:

Donate Corporate Surplus

Retailers, Wholesalers, and Manufacturers: Please consider donating your corporate surplus, samples, returns, and other sources of excess outdoor gear, outdoor basic clothing, non perishable food and hygiene products to Homeless Gear.  For a complete list of the items we collect and distribute, please visit the Product Donations page of our website. Contact David Rout (by email at David@HomelessGear.org or phone at 970-682-3193) for more information.

Hire Participants in Our Hand Up Program

Through our Hand Up program, we help homeless and low-income job-seekers find and maintain employment. We provide program participants with one-on-one career counseling and case management and, at the same time, form partnerships with socially-conscious businesses; those businesses agree, in some cases, to hire participants from our program. Want to learn more? Contact our Hand Up Program Coordinator, Linda Nuss, by email at Linda@HomelessGear.org or by phone at (970) 316-4037.

Donate Cash or Help us with our Fundraising Efforts

Financial contributions enable us to operate our programs, recruit volunteers, maintain our warehouse and our Street Outreach vehicle and purchase products for re-distributions to the homeless. Visit this page to make a donation.

Form or Sponsor a “Village” in our One Village One Family Program

Through our One Village One Family program, we pair mentor groups–or “villages”–with homeless families. Those groups raise funds to help their family secure housing (e.g. first month’s rent), and then provide about six months of ongoing mentoring as the families reconnect back into the community and regain stability. Visit the OVOF page of our website or contact Ken (by phone at 970-581-4921 or email at Ken@HomelessGear.org) to learn more!
